BASIC 99 – $99 BARE BONES PINEWOOD DERBY TIMER KIT

If you are familiar with our normal Pinewood Derby Timer system, you already know that it provides exceptional value for the money. After we loaded it with features, we were then asked to develop a system without all the frills.

We would now like to announce our BASIC 99 kit for the unbelievable price of $99. It includes the same Visual Basic timer software and still uses MS Excel to store the Cub Scout names and race results.

Basic 99 circuit board and start switch attached with short length of wire.

Here is what is included in our BASIC 99 package:

1. Working circuit board populated with all the components needed to interface the finish line sensors to the computer.

2. 12-Volt Power supply

3. Windows Software that times the race, communicates with the sensors and writes time data to Excel

4. Computer connecting cable.

5. Six phototransistors - used as finish line sensors to determine when a car has crossed the finish line.

6. Start switch to indicate the start of the race to the computer. The switch is mounted at the start gate and is switched when the start gate is opened.

7. Excel workbooks containing formatted worksheets so you can manage your Pinewood Derby race.
